Hello my name is Barbara Mingo I am a decendant of Noah and Ellison Mingo that you refer to on your page, my grandfather is Arthur Mingo, Ellisons son although some spell it Author but on his ob. it is Arthur. My grandmother is Hattie Mae Mingo( both deceased)
My mothers name is Dorether Mingo(deceased)
Noah was a preacher & carpenter, he and Jack Robinson built a church called Noah's Ark Baptist Church
in 1891. His brother Ellison was a the first deacon and Noah was the first preacher there.
It is now called Rock Hill Baptist Church.
We have a Family Reunion the second weekend in August at my Uncle Sam's old homestead in Heath Springs, SC. - We also have a big Annual Mingo Family Picnic in Lancaster, SC. every Sat. before Easter.
